- WANTED:
- CALIFORNIA - Broodmare Lease Exchange
for 2001 - 2002
-
- I am looking for a proven brood mare with crosses to Gay Mac for lease
exchange. I offer a proven broodmare with 3 crosses to Gay Mac in return.
-
- I am hoping to find a brood mare with similar bloodlines to my 1990
Morgan mare to produce an excellent sporthorse prospect with a breeding
to my mare's 1999 stallion, Sunlotus Comet (Funquest Erick x Rich Gal).
As a 2 year old, Comet will be competing in some USDF shows in 2001 and
will be inspected as an AWS Stallion next fall. This year he won The Joyce
Casper Memorial Trophy at the Mother Lode show, In-hand Suitability for
Dressage. I'm hoping to provide him with one breeding experience mainly
for his own educational benefit, and to further evaluate his potential
as a breeding stallion with a bonus of adding a filly to my own breeding
program.
-
- The mare I'm offering in exchange:
-
- Gay Cavalier
- Green Meads Richmond
- Green Meads Bell
- Windswept Richard
- Dapper Dan
- Windswept Day-Star
- Shasta Daisy
-
-
- Rich Gal
- Miss Tayler
- Gay Gal
- Ranchita Chief
- Miss Spooky
- Kaquita
-
- She is liver chestnut at 15.1 hands with a pretty head and big rear
end. Looking at her one can see how the Morgan contributed to the Quarter
Horse. Rich Gal resides in the alpha spectrum with regards to dominance.
She is intelligent and athletic with cow sense. Mostly used for trail riding,
she is experienced over fences and has won in both hunter equitation and
training level dressage in open competition as a youngster. She will put
a nice foal on the ground.
-
- Ideally, I can find a similar brood mare to breed to her stallion and
while bloodlines guide my search, temperament, conformation/athleticism
are more important. A bay or exotic color would be a definite plus.

- FOR LEASE OR SALE:
-
- Beautiful black Morgan Gelding, TFM Drakkar Noir, no white markings.
14.2hh at 2 years old and showing a great deal of potential as a dressage
or carriage horse. Can this boy ever trot!!!! It could have something to
do with the 20+ traces to Ethan Allen! His sire is Shamrock Seville by
Moro Hills Marquis and Ransomvale Jamie and his dam is KMS Covergirl by
Casland Fast Time and Casland Bel Donna. What a combo! He is an extremely
fine example of true Morgan Type! His coat is much darker than in this
shot, and he looks more mature now. As you can see he has a very beautiful
head with a large eye! I have more recent photos, just e-mail me if you
are interested and I will get them to you. Contact Angie at 1marks@sprint.ca
