This elegant young stallion carries the blood of The Statesman (Maternal Grandfather), Mansfield, Rachel Knox, Moro, Senator Graham, Welcome, Devan Jason, among other Morgan greats. His maternal Grandfather, The Statesman, was posthumously awarded the Nyberg Sport Horse Sire of the Year in 1997.
His dam's full brother, Chief of State, won the 1990 Combined Driving pairs Championship when paired with his half-brother Atavista Statesman (both stallions!). Like many other Statesman horses, Eclipse is ready to take his place among these extraordinary sport Morgans who have repeatedly excelled, receiving national level recognition in dressage, carriage driving, competitive trail and other disciplines. Eclipse will begin his competition debut in 2000 in Combined Driving (look for him at Yellowframe CDE in Southern Pines NC in April), and Morgan Shows in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
